Inexplainable Dreams of Reality

Have you ever had your dreams come true? If not, then make sure to keep them close, because I am certain one day they will. Over the past month I have had the most exciting 4 weeks that I have ever had in my fashion career. And I only hope that this the beginning.

A dear friend asked me to come and assist him on a Vogue Hommes Japan shoot early July. He really threw me into the business with little knowledge of what I was getting myself into. But honestly, that was the best way it could have been done. Within one week, I learned more than I would by sitting in a classroom and taking notes. Day after day shipments from Givenchy, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Alexander Wang, Dries Van Noten and many more came in and seemed unreal that I was able to work with clothes such as these. After 19 trunks worth of clothes and accessories, the shoot was ready and prepped. But the excitement wasn't until we reached the studio and got working with so many creative people on set.

Soon enough I was offered to intern with Vogue Japan/China in their office for the rest of the summer. I tried to contain my excitement when they asked, but I am sure they could see right through me. All I could think was...is this really happening to me? I woke up for work every day with a reason and an exciting purpose to do what I love. It did not matter what task I did, I loved every moment of it.

Then.........Dior. Carine Roitfeld. V Magazine. All in one package. My friend asked me if I wanted to come intern for the shoot with Dior, and Carine Roitfeld. Holy shit. I still get goosebumps when I think about the shoot. Let me just say...this was a huge moment where I said, how could anything get better than this. My dreams had already come true with Vogue and now this was becoming dreams of REALITY. A little background, Carine was the former Vogue Paris Editor-In-Chief and is one of the most influential women in fashion today. She may be the LeBron to your Basketball or your Steve Jobs to your Computers. Some may disagree...but she is pretty fabulously important.

Sooooo I want to say. they will come true. all of them. I am still in disbelief in everything that happened and I just want everyone to do what they LOVE because that passion will show and people will reward you for your desire.

Mouthful

Recently, I have been walking to class instead of taking the bus. With music, the walk is even more enjoyable. But I have this problem of singing to songs even when I do not know the words. Maybe singing in the car or in my room is acceptable, however in public..not so much. So now...I walk with a mouthful of songs.

I am obsessed with NEON! I have been wearing my neon bra everyyyy day because I love seeing it match with all my clothes. ESPECIALLY when it matches with white and cream clothes. Oh and with leopard print.

That is Kiyo. My Best Friend. She survived Japan's Earthquakes.

Cabo for two nights and three days. We stayed in probably the best treasure in Cabo. A private home owned by the old Irvine Company owner with a private beach. BREATHTAKING. But there was not enough days to do everything we wanted, but it was definitely the best couple days this Spring Break.

It has been awhile since I have last posted. But now that my hardest quarter at school is over and now I am on spring break...I am blogging again! I did take a day off of studying during finals and went to the Pasadena Flea market with Diana, Andi and Jon. So bad. But it was definitely worth it! I found this amazinggggggg sweater!!! I love everything about it, the way it hangs, the color, the knit, the fringe!! Such a great find :)

Went exploring with Wendy today and ended up on a "vehicle tour" that led us to this hill!

It is almost springs and the hills are green!
